Eat Your Peas Faithfully is a Christian gift book that I received from www.booksneeze.com. I have been meaning to get on here and write a review for a while now, but I have just been so busy. So, sorry for the delay. Eat Your Peas Faithfully is a cute little book that gives little thoughts and scriptures to help you keep your faith. Every page has a separate pick-me-up to remind you of God’s love for us. It’s one of those books that when you are feeling down, you can pick it up and get a reminder of why we are important and why we shouldn’t worry about things. I would say this book is appropriate for any age. Even children need pick-me-ups at times and if a parent would read them a page a day, I’m sure it would make them feel very special.

This book is very clear in its message and is very easy to read. The illustrations are very pretty and eye-catching. Although, the title of the book threw me off a little bit since it’s talking about food instead of something spiritual. However, when you think about it, we are what we eat, and if we digest these “simple truths and happy insights” then we will definitely feel better…and since peas are good for you…well, I guess the title is insinuating that the book is good for us?

I would definitely recommend this book to someone who is looking for a good gift book for a friend that needs a good pick-me-up and words of encouragement.

It was inevitable that I would read the sequel to Karen Kingsbury’s, A Time to Dance, having enjoyed the first book. In it she creates memorable, lovable, and fallible characters. John and Abby Reynolds are a married couple who struggle with their relationship while trying to put on a good face for their church, community, and family. This couple met in their teens and fell in love with each other at an early age. Somehow, they have wandered away from a love that once amazed all who know them.

Now Reynolds, a successful high school football coach, and his journalist wife, Abby, go through the motions publicly but battle each other and their own emotions privately. They deal with temptation to stray, and struggle with a love turned to loathing and faith that has wandered from God’s commands and promises. This novel will reward and affirm both the happily married reader and the one who stands on the brink of divorce. I initially encountered Kingsbury’s writing in A Time to Dance, and after reading both books in this series, I’m still hooked.

In A Time to Embrace, John, Abby, and their three children meet a new challenge – one that threatens to turn their lives upside down. I warn the reader that he must not read the summary inside the book’s back cover, because it gives away too much of the plot. If I am any indication of a normal reader, I want no more than vague, general hints as to what might happen to the characters.

Coach John Reynolds worries about several issues as the book opens: troubled teens he coaches and teaches, severe criticism of his coaching from parents of the players, pressure to win from fans and administrators, a serious problem with his own son. He prays for wisdom and talks with Abby about these new troubles.

Bacterial vaginosis is vaginal condition that can produce vaginal discharge and results from an overgrowth of normal bacteria in the vagina. In the past, the condition was called Gardnerella vaginitis, after the bacteria that were thought to cause the condition. However, the newer name, bacterial vaginosis, reflects the fact that there are a number of species of bacteria that naturally live in the vaginal area and may grow to excess. The Gardnerella organism is not the sole culprit causing the symptoms. When these multiple species of bacteria become imbalanced, a woman can have a vaginal discharge with a foul odor.

Bacterial vaginosis is not dangerous, but it can cause disturbing symptoms. Any woman with an unusual discharge should be evaluated so that more serious infections such as chlamydia and gonorrhea, can be excluded. Symptoms may also mimic those found in yeast infections of the vagina and trichomoniasis (a sexually-transmitted infection), and these conditions must also be excluded in women with vaginal symptoms.

Bacterial vaginosis is a common condition, and studies have shown that approximately 29% of women in the US are affected. Bacterial vaginosis is found in about 16% of pregnant women and approximately 60% of women who have a sexually-transmitted disease (STD).

What are the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis?

Many women (about 85% of those affected) with bacterial vaginosis actually have no symptoms. When symptoms do occur, vaginal discharge and odor are the predominant symptoms. Usually, there are no other symptoms. The amount of vaginal discharge that is considered normal varies from woman to woman. Therefore, any degree of vaginal discharge that is abnormal for a particular woman should be evaluated.

Some women may experience an unpleasant fishy odor with vaginal discharge. The discharge is usually thin and grayish white. The discharge is often more noticeable after sexual intercourse.

What causes bacterial vaginosis?

Researchers have had difficulty determining exactly what causes bacterial vaginosis. At present, it seems to be that a combination of multiple bacteria must be present together for the problem to develop. Bacterial vaginosis typically features a reduction in the number of the normal hydrogen peroxide-producing lactobacilli in the vagina. Simultaneously, there is an increase in concentration of other types of bacteria, especially anaerobic bacteria (bacteria that grow in the absence of oxygen). As a result, the diagnosis and treatment are not as simple as identifying and eradicating a single type of bacteria. Why the bacteria combine to cause the infection is unknown.

Certain factors have been identified that increase the chances of developing bacterial vaginosis. These include multiple or new sexual partners, intrauterine devices for contraception, recent antibiotic use, vaginal douching, and cigarette smoking. However, the role of sexual activity in the development of the condition is not fully understood, and bacterial vaginosis can still develop in women who have not had sexual intercourse.

Treatment

- Antibiotics
Metronidazole or clindamycin either orally or vaginally are effective treatment. However, there is a high rate of recurrence. The usual medical regimen for treatment is the antibiotic Metronidazole (500 mg twice a day, once every 12 hours) for 7 days. A one-time 2g dose is no longer recommended by the CDC because of low efficacy. Extended release metronidazole is an alternative recommendation. In contrast to some other infectious diseases affecting the female genitals, according to some sources, treatment of the sexual partners is not necessarily recommended.

Sh*t MyDad Says evolved from a Twitter tally and is headed for a TV establishment this summer starring William Shatner. I bought the story also within 24 hours, both my husband and I had laughed our ways due to the short collection of amusing (and poignant) stories about Justin Halpern and his outrageously impair further profane (basically affecting) author. The stories remind me of David Sedaris’s passages about his father, besides they’re supplemented disguise standalone quotes from Halpern’s dad, since example:

* On Justin recipient in trouble at school: “Why would you fling a circle in someone’s face? … Huh. That’s a magnificent adapted dream of. Well, I can’t do much about your teacher being pis***, but me and you are good.”

* On Justin having a brutal nose: “What happened? Did somebody potency you pressure the face?! … The what? The mind-set is barrenness? Do me a use and tell people you got punched in the face.”

* On Justin’s ice to adequate with his parents after breaking up hide his long-term girlfriend: “All I needle is that you herd up your s*** so you don’t leave your bedroom looking like it was used for a gang bang. Also, sorry that your girlfriend dumped you.”

This is a very touching story of the heart. Beginning with the arrival of Jesus in Nasareth until he was baptized. His journey full of obstacles and barriers to be a mirror for us all to remain in his path. As messages are always pronounced Jesus “God loves his people who believed in Him.”

Miracles happen through touch Jesus hands. The blind see, the deaf hear and the sick get out of bed because incurable. All this happened because they believe that God has come and surely will help them. That conviction.

Sincerity and confidence, also shown in a scene when Jesus got to feed many people with only a few pieces of bread and some fish tail. But again, for those who believe in the mercy of God who loves his people, all can be resolved. When Jesus received the food, he was praying and begging God loves them and the magic happens, the bread and the fish become more and never run out although it has been given to many people to eat. And when Jesus let go of his followers to bring the other side of sea food, once again, Jesus showed his love by walking on a turbulent sea water reverse the boat ready for his followers. That’s love. Love of God to his people.

However, people who are dark and angry in his heart hates Him. While in Jerusalem, Jesus told his followers that God always loves and always loves those who trust and believe Him.

Delivering Happiness by Tony Hsieh is the biography section / part of the company profile, but at its core is about happiness. Hsieh has written in a very informal style that most readers will find interesting. The book is organized in a way that shows readers how to increase the understanding of happiness Hsieh from the early days of his childhood to Zappos evolved into a company that Amazon acquired for $ 1.2 billion shares. Hsieh talks about entrepreneurship as a child’s early efforts as well as education and various jobs before he entered the business world. Although he does not let readers in on explicitly until the end of this book, what he says is how he pursues happiness in progress relating to the profit goal then the goal with passion. I find it interesting as an account of contemporary me because one thing I learned was that I was only about three months older than Tony. While I do not have anywhere near the level of her professional success, I found the cultural references and early professional experience in the technology field is very easy to relate to.

But the essence of what the reader Hsieh will take is a motive for what has been done at Zappos – give happiness through exceptional customer service. Interesting to see how this idea developed by Hsieh in his career. At first, she got involved with Zappos because of boredom. He’s good with money and success in past efforts by LinkExchange. Hsieh, however, money never held interest for a long time. If it was, he probably will stay in your first job out of college with Oracle. I also find it interesting how customer service is a theme that appears from time to time from within Zappos. Hseih finally spoke at one point about the mastery of customer service through the shoe and then one day launch flights Zappos.

People can find many similarities between the themes that emerged at Zappos and the people at Southwest Airlines. This is not a coincidence that Hsieh gave them nodded in his book. The ideas she presents a very simple, yet very few companies come anywhere close to embracing them. Maybe common sense is not so common after all …

Give this try if you’re looking for ideas to make a positive difference in yourself and your company. It’s worth your time.
